“Room to roam.”

What fun we had staying at Rocking CR Ranch Guesthouse.  Right in between Sisters and Bend, we visited both. But we always came home to 5 acres of beauty.  Our kids played soccer in the pasture, our dog played with Caroline and Doug’s dogs, and we relaxed watching all the activity while barbecuing steaks.  Thank you for the enjoyable family vacation.  We will be back.                                                                                        — The Emmetts

"Thumbs up"

My family comes to Bend to explore.  We liked the Rocking CR Ranch Guesthouse a lot.  Right down the street are lots of llamas and Alpacas, around the corner are a herd of buffalo, there are playful dogs on the ranch.  We BBQ and  watch the beautiful sunsets over the mountains.

"fantastic Neighborhood Location!"

Clean, great location, cozy. Awesome for a group! We really enjoyed our stay here at The HideAway, it was just what we needed. Caroline was easy to communicate with and accommodating to last minute changes in our plans. Her home is very clean and has a great, open layout in the common areas that made it perfect for our group to hang out, play games, and prepare meals together. The fenced in backyard was great for our canine companions, and the home is within walking distance of some really yummy restaurants. All in all, Caroline's home is a wonderful place to stay in Bend!

"private and woodsy"

We love this cabin and will return again. It feels private and woodsy while being only minutes away from the restaurants and walk-a-bility of Sisters. A wonderful place for a family with children. The upstairs was perfect for them and the master bedroom and bed were wonderfully comfortable.

"Perfect!" ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

The perfect getaway from a hectic schedule. It was a spring break that lived up to the hype. Awesome!
We BBQ'd, we hiked, we played in the snow, we golfed. Our dog got to do things he'd never done before. And we still had time to just take in the scenery. Air was crisp and the neighborhood quiet. Couldn't have asked for better owners. This will be a hard trip to top in the future, but gives us a bar to strive for. Thanks to the Matz family.                                          –DP

Lovely 4 Night Stay
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We came here from Portland to experience some of the central Oregon trails. This is perfectly positioned log house. It is close to trails in the Metolius, the Tam Macarthur Rim Trail (do it!), and the PCT at the Dee Wright Observatory. A nice stay in a quiet location very close to Sisters.  June 25, 2018

“Apres ski”

My girlfriend and I come to Bend to ski Mt. Bachelor.  We discovered the Rocking CR Ranch Guesthouse and love it.  It is such a relaxing place after skiing to have a beer, BBQ, get in the hot tub, watch the beautiful sunsets over the mountains.  It is so much better than the hotel we usually stay at…and has everything.                                                                          -Micha

We stayed here with our 2 year old daughter and we all loved it. You're always surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of beautiful nature. Deer and squirrels would visit us daily and provide entertainment for our daughter. The huge backyard has Juniper trees and well kept grass, which gave us lots of space to relax and spend time in the outdoors. The neighborhood is also very nice and quiet, we really enjoyed taking walks around during the day. The house is located up on the west hills of Bend, a few minutes drive from the charming downtown area, where you'll find plenty of cafes, restaurants and fun activities to do. We would also take our daughter to nearby playgrounds of which there are many to choose from, some with "pirate ships", others with gorgeous views of the Deschutes River. All great fun for kids. Our host Caroline and her housekeeper Leslie are both kind and lovely people who're always available to help with problems that may arise. All in all, this was a great experience and we truly enjoyed our days here. Hopefully we'll have a chance to return in the future!                                                           -Turgay B.

"highly recommend"

The HideAway was fantastic. I was able to book this home last minute to see my family for the holiday. Great central location, easy access to the market, restaurants, and downtown. I would highly recommend!           -Stephanie A.

“Perfect for skiers”

We really enjoyed our stay in Caroline’s home. Location is everything to us and this home is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, yet not too far from downtown and with convenient access to the road up to Mt. Bachelor. It’s a well stocked, spacious and comfortable home and we would love to stay here again!

“Great Southern escape!”

Visited Bend from Calgary Alberta Canada, and this beautiful and spacious home was the perfect place to stay! It's only moments away from downtown, westside restaurants and attractions and it is within walking distance to a phenomenal park with an off leash area for dogs. The home is exceptionally clean and well supplied with everything I needed. Looking forward to my next stay here!

“Beautiful Cabin”

Wonderful place to stay! Cozy cabin with separate living areas, nice furniture and very clean. Deer, chipmunks, and lots of birds to enjoy on the expansive deck! Very much enjoyed our stay.

“Beautiful home in a beautiful setting”

This Chalet provided everything we needed for our vacation. It's close to plenty of things to do, yet we felt very secluded and off the beaten path. The rental process was seamless. We were provided with plenty of information to make our stay a success. The house was clean and well equipped, and located in a beautiful setting. I would definitely recommend this house.
